According to a report from Turkey, Arsenal and Lyon have both made a £12m bid for the striker with Fenerbahce also interested but not able to match the amount already on the table.

The 21-year-old Nigerian u23 international scored five goals in seven Jupiler Pro League games last season, averaging 60 minutes per game in those matches. Although he made fewer league appearances than the season before (23 league matches, scoring seven and assisting four) he actually managed to play almost exactly the same number of minutes (1031 v 1027).

Under contract until 2021, Dennis is expected to move this summer and Arsenal could be looking for a Danny Welbeck replacement. Why they wouldn’t just turn to the likes of Eddie Nketiah, given their restricted budget, is anyone’s guess.

Dennis arrived in Belgium in 2017 on a £1.17m move from Zorya Luhansk in Ukraine where he made 26 appearances and scored six goals.

In total, he has 19 goals and eight assists in 70 games for Club Brugge and has made five Champions League appearances.
