Not that long ago it was claimed that Laurent Koscielny was considering leaving Arsenal, something Sokratis said wasn’t true.

The 33-year-old Arsenal captain has one year left on his current deal and the club seem in no way inclined to extend his stay beyond this season.

According to Football Italia, the defender was offered to Inter Milan but the Serie A side said ‘no’ as they have more than enough defenders with the arrival of Diego Godin.

Although he had his fitness problems this season, Kos still managed to feature for Arsenal in 31 games, scoring a total of three goals.

Since his arrival at the club in 2010 for the paltry sum of £11.25m from FC Lorient, Koscielny has made 353 appearances, scoring 27 goals and assisting five.
