Arsenal are still very interested in Red Bull Salzburg’s 18-year-old midfielder, Dominik Szoboszlai.

Back in February, Arsenal’s interest was both reported and snubbed out in a two-day period.

Now the links are back.

La Lazio Siamo Noi report that the club ‘really like’ the player and tip him as a possible Aaron Ramsey replacement despite his age. It seems they got their information from Football.London.

FL write, “…Szoboszlai’s agent has told football.london that his client remains fully focused on his current club as rumours swirl linking him to a string of top sides in England and Europe, including Juventus, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Lazio.”

In February, just after Arsenal were linked with Szoboszlai it was claimed we’d miss out as he preferred a move to Serie A and would cost around €10m as his contract ran until 2021. In March, however, his club extended his deal until 2022, driving his price up as they did so.

Despite his age, Szoboszlai already has a good physical presence, standing at around 6’1″. He was extremely effective in front of goal with Salzburg’s feeder club FC Liefering, scoring six goals and providing four assists in just nine games. His form earned him a Salzburg call up in the ÖFB-Cup, where he scored another goal and assist.

In all, he finished last season with three goals and four assists in just 717 Bundesliga minutes and is a full Hungary international with four caps against Wales, Azerbaijan, Croatia, and Slovakia in their European Qualifiers campaign where he played an attacking midfield role in the last three games.
