18-year-old striker Tyreece John-Jules held a Q&A on his Instagram account this weekend, which might help those who don’t know much about him to get a better idea.

John-Jules has had a very positive season with the Arsenal academy, particularly considering he only very recently turned 18. The teenage striker has 16 goals and eight assists in 29 appearances in all competitions for the youth teams, a goal contribution every 90 minutes on average.

The England u18 international carried that form into the first team for their senior mid-season friendly in Dubai, scoring his first goal at that level against Al-Nasr in March. He also made the squad for a couple of competitive matches in the Europa League group stage, but he’s yet to make his debut competitive appearance.

After taking some time to really get going with the u23s, John-Jules finished the campaign with four goals and one assist in his final four games (three starts). If he can carry that into pre-season and Eddie Nketiah ends up going out on loan, perhaps we could see him get some first-team opportunities in 2019/20. We’ll see.
