Arsenal ended Manchester City’s unbeaten run on Saturday to ensure they finished seven points ahead of their nearest challengers.

A single goal from Emma Mitchell in the 88th minute ensured that City wouldn’t pick up the Invincibles tag, as well as ensuring that the Gunners went out in style with 18 wins from 20 played, 70 scored and only 13 conceded.
Looking through the main papers this morning, it was incredibly sad to see how little coverage, once again, had been given to the women’s game.
The Sunday Telegraph, who are supposed to be providing ‘unrivalled coverage’ of women’s sport had a small piece on Nikkita Parris leaving City with a paragraph on Arsenal picking up the trophy at the end. The Mail on Sunday had nothing at all while the Observer had a half-page piece that didn’t show any sign of a trophy.
