Manchester City defender set to re-sign for Arsenal

Manchester City’s Jennifer Beattie looks set to re-join Arsenal this summer in addition to a host of players from Bayern Munich.

The Gunners have already announced Jill Roord and Manuela Zinsberger while Leonie Maier is also expected to be announced soon.

It’s been rumoured for a while that Arsenal could be about to bring in another Scottish international and it seems like that player will be the 28-year-old Beattie who is out of contract in Manchester.

Beattie signed for City in 2015 when she moved from Montepellier, the club she joined after four years with Arsenal.

She has over 100 caps for her country and will bring a wealth of experience to the new FA WSL Champions as they head back to the Champions League for the first time since 2013.

Arsenal are also believed to be in talks with a former Academy player.
