The thought of Watford beating Manchester City in the FA Cup final may seem hilarious but if that happens and Arsenal finish sixth in the league they are in for shortened pre-season and extra games in the Europa League.

Arsenal are still targeting the Champions League but know they need to overhaul Chelsea (or Spurs) to finish in the top four in the league or win the Europa League in order to make sure they qualify.

If they end up back in the Europa League they will be hoping they finish at least fifth or, if they finish sixth, that City win the FA Cup.

Should Watford win the FA Cup they will go into the Europa League. The team that finishes sixth, then, will have to play in the second qualifying round with the first leg taking place on July 25 when Arsenal should be touring the USA.

Arsenal are expected to play Real Madrid on July 23 in Washington.
