Laurent Koscielny’s agent has hinted his client could leave Arsenal this summer but they will hold talks with the club at the end of the season.

Laurent Koscielny is not out of contract until next summer but with Raul Sanllehi stating that players would be offered a new deal with two years remaining, or be sold, his future is less than certain.

Of course, given the serious nature of his Achilles injury, it is understandable that the club would want to wait to see how he recovered. He has done that well and I can’t imagine many Arsenal fans wanting to see him shipped out this summer.

It’s hard to see Kos being able to play twice a week for much longer, we already know he struggles at present, and as he ages that is only going to get worse. That being said he has, arguably, been our best defender this season.

However, whether or not that speaks more to the quality of the others is up for debate.

With a limited transfer budget and Koscielny holding little resale value, Arsenal may have no choice but to convince him to stay.
