Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb put together a report on the upcoming summer for football agent Mino Raiola and his clients, detailing which of them are likely to leave their clubs this summer.

They included Mkhitaryan in their list of players who ‘surely won’t change clubs this summer’. According to the report, Dortmund tried to bring Mkhitaryan back to Germany, but his future is with Arsenal.

That’s likely to be a bit of a surprise to Arsenal supporters, considering how things have gone for the player and the club since he joined. After failing to make a significant push to qualify for the Champions League in Mkhitaryan’s first few months with Arsenal last year, they’re now heading for another season with the same outcome.

Top four is all but gone, and winning the Europa League means getting results from a couple of games that are significantly harder on paper than any that Arsenal have faltered in domestically recently. Mkhitaryan has to take a share of the blame for those poor results, as he hasn’t scored or assisted a goal since February.

Nonetheless, it seems he’s set for another season with the Gunners if TMW are to be believed. We’ll see.
