Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are all interested in Espanyol centre-back Mario Hermoso this summer, according to reports in Spain.

Spanish outlet Sport report that the three clubs listed above are all among those to have registered their interest in signing Hermoso for next season. Espanyol are hoping to hold onto the defender, but it may not be entirely up to them, as Real Madrid have a €7m buy-back clause in his contract.

As a result, Madrid can look to turn a quick profit by agreeing on a fee with another club before exercising their purchase clause and immediately selling on. It would reportedly cost around €20m to sign Hermoso, meaning Real would pocket €13m and Espanyol would get €7m.

Even if Madrid decide against making some easy money, Hermoso only has a year left on his current deal with Espanyol. If he pushes for a move, his current club will have to choose between selling now or losing him for free next year.

As a left-footed centre-back, Hermoso could fit nicely into the Arsenal team. The Gunners have had to make do with right-footed Rob Holding or Laurent Koscielny in the position, or left-back Nacho Monreal, so they could use someone more comfortable on that side. Particularly as the 23-year-old has had such a strong season in Spain.
