Arsenal have the best conversion rate in the Premier League this season, they just aren’t taking enough shots.

Under Arsene Wenger fans always moaned that the players would look to pass the ball rather than take a punt and shoot. While the perception is that this has changed under Unai Emery it seems that we are just being swayed by the fact we’re hitting the target more.

Arsenal’s conversion rate this season is 15.6%, putting them in first place, but as you can see from the chart below they are 11th when it comes to the number of shots taken (and shots faced)
