As they continued their preparations for the Europa League final, Arsenal played a behind-closed-doors friendly against the Austrian side at London Colney. Neither club released any official updates about the match, but the Austrian media have since reported that it finished 6-0 (2-0 at half-time).

LASK head coach Oliver Glasner was impressed with the facilities at Arsenal, and he seemed particularly taken with Unai Emery and the Spaniard’s knowledge about Glasner’s team.

“It was a nice experience to see it once,” said Glasner about London Colney. “The pitches are like golf turf, the power chamber is 15 times as large as ours. That’s just the best there is. He (Emery) greeted me with my first name, congratulated me on the season, knew we were second, he was knowledgeable about us.”

LASK didn’t use any of their players for more than 45 minutes, as they have a match on Sunday. The only exception was Thomas Goiginger, who is suspended at the weekend. There’s no available information on which Arsenal players featured, but you’d expect they’d be utilising a similar ‘one half each’ approach.

There’s no news of any injuries, as Arsenal prepare to head out to Baku on Saturday. The team will then spend the next few days preparing and adjusting before the final on Wednesday. Another 6-0 would be nice.
