Ding, ding, ding, we have a new name for transfer bingo as Arsenal are apparently interested in signing Fenerbahce’s wonderkid, Eljif Elmas.

Allegedly the target of a number of clubs across Europe, just the right number to hit all the search algorithms but not too many that it looks forced, the 19-year-old midfielder is apparently in the sights of Arsenal and Tottenham.

A Macedonian international with five full caps already, Elmas scored four goals in 29 Super Lig games last season with a total of four in 40 across all competitions.

Under contract until 2022, Turkish-Football were told that the north London sides have been scouting the teenager but that the ‘most serious interest is from Italy.’

Arsenal have allegedly already landed one ‘wonderkid’ in this window with Gabrielle Martinelli said to be Emirates-bound, so would they really bring in another? I guess that all depends on how much he costs.

Fenerbahce need to sell to comply with FFP regulations but even though Elmas cost the Turks £162,000 when he signed as a seven-year-old, he’s gonna cost a lot more than that now.

Inter Milan currently seem to be leading the charge for his signature.
