Arsenal join Leicester City in chasing Stade Rennais winger Ismaila Sarr this summer, who will reportedly be available for around £25m.

The Daily Mail report that Sarr impressed Unai Emery during the Europa League knockout rounds, scoring against the Gunners in Rennes. Arsenal made contact over signing the player in March, and a source close to the player has revealed that Leicester City are interested too.

According to this source, there’s no news on Arsenal’s interest since the reports of the initial contact, so we’ll have to wait and see whether the Gunners really are after the 21-year-old.

Sarr has 12 goals and nine assists in 48 matches this season, helping his team to reach the Europa League last-16 and win the Coupe De France over Paris Saint-Germain. He’s a strong chance creator but turns the ball over a lot, so Emery will have to decide if he’s worth the investment.

David Ornstein lists the wide forward area as Arsenal’s secondary priority, after a central defender and a box-to-box midfielder, but we’ll see what happens this summer.
