With 24 goals in his last 53 European appearances, it’s no wonder the Italians are keen to get Lorenzo Insigne into their squad for the game against Arsenal. Although he suffered another thigh problem last week, he is expected to be fit in time for the trip to London.

Insigne was included in Napoli’s squad for the game against Genoa on Sunday that they drew 1-1 and came off the bench in the 67th minute to replace Allan.

Reports before the game said he would probably not be risked. It is his future, however, rather than his availability, that is causing much consternation in Naples with his agent, Mino Raiola, seemingly causing mischief.

Raul Albiol could also make the squad on Thursday after having his knee ‘cleaned out’ in London back in February, however, reporters from Italy are sceptical he will recover in time.
