Arsenal ran out 2-0 winners against Napoli in the Europa League quarter-final first leg on Thursday night but they should have scored a lot more and killed the tie in this first leg.

So, how did the players get on individually?
Defence

Petr Cech 7
Would have suspected he would be in for a busier night but had little to do.
Sokratis 7
Imposing, as usual, the big defender bossed it at the back.
Laurent Koscielny 7
A surprise starter, much to the relief of many, Kos came through this game with a number of knocks, not all of them dished out by Napoli.
Nacho Monreal 6.5
He might be off in the summer but, for now, Nacho had a decent evening apart from the few times he was caught in behind by Insigne.
Midfield

Sead Kolasinac 6
A lot of Arsenal’s attacks seemed to break down when the ball got to him and he picked the wrong option but he won more tackles than any of his teammates.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles 8
Superb evening from Ainsley who was a completely different player than the one who struggled at Everton at the weekend. Got an assist.
Lucas Torreira 8
How great was it to have him back in the middle of the park? I don’t care what UEFA say, it’s his goal…. no matter how wide it was going!
Aaron Ramsey 8.5
Sigh. Every goal is so bittersweet and, as Aaron Ramsey’s farewell tour heads into the final stretch regret is being piled upon regret as we get ready to lose one of our best players for nothing.
Attack

Mesut Ozil 9
When Mesut Ozil is in this mood he is unplayable and, while not everything he tried came off, I’m giving him a 9 and the MOTM for even thinking of trying some of the things he did manage to pull off.
Alexandre Lacazette 6
A frustrating night for both forwards, Laca had a good chance to get himself on the scoresheet but wasted his chance.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang 6
Like with Lacazette, Auba had a frustrating evening that should have seen him end the night with at least one goal.
Subs

Alex Iwobi 6
Replaced Mesut Ozil and tried to make an impact but it didn’t really come off for him.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan 6.5
Replaced Alexandre Lacazette and managed to play two key passes.
Mohamed Elneny 6
Touched the ball 11 times.
