Denis Suarez and Aaron Ramsey have been ruled out of Arsenal’s clash with Wolves on Wednesday by the club, but Granit Xhaka could return for the fixture.

Ahead of Wednesday’s match, Arsenal have confirmed that neither Suarez nor Ramsey will be available. Ramsey is still being assessed after his hamstring injury, whilst Suarez is suffering from a groin problem. Both are currently receiving treatment.

Meanwhile, Granit Xhaka’s hip problem doesn’t appear to have gone away completely, but the club haven’t ruled him out of the Wolves match just yet. They say he’s being assessed for the game.

It would be a major boost to have the Swiss international back and available for the match. Mohamed Elneny and Matteo Guendouzi didn’t form an effective midfield partnership at all against Crystal Palace, and that had a major impact on the eventual result.

Lucas Torreira can come back into the team to replace one of them, but he’s played his best matches this season alongside Xhaka, so Arsenal need the 26-year-old too. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
