David Neres has opened the door to an Ajax exit amid reports Arsenal are keen to get their hands on him while also making sure he doesn’t annoy his current employers.
“I have to see what is best for me, for my career and my family,” Neres said about a move away from Ajax this summer. “We will see what the future holds, but I have a contract here and I am satisfied here.”
Just over a fortnight ago it was reported that Arsenal held talks with Ajax over the signing of their £34.5m-rated winger.
Arsenal will likely be adding at least one winger to their ranks this summer and, as a result, have been linked with a number of players who can play in that position.
The Telegraph claim Neres is attracting the attention of Arsenal and Everton while Manchester United and Chelsea are also said to be monitoring the Brazilian.
They then went on to claim that, “Arsenal and Everton have already held talks over the 22-year-old, while a bid from Borussia Dortmund, who are aware of the huge interest in England international Jadon Sancho, was rejected in January by Ajax.”
Neres is under contract until 2022 after signing an extension in September, 20 months after arriving from Sao Paulo for a fee of £10.8m.
