Arsenal have reportedly placed a wage bill restriction on Unai Emery ahead of the summer transfer window in news that is not surprising in the least.

Ever since Arsenal abandoned their wage structure they’ve been caused the kind of problems Arsene Wenger advised about should they ever abandon their wage structure.

We now have a number of highly-paid, but underperforming stars who are impossible to shift because nobody else will pay the sort of stupid money Arsenal threw at their feet.
