SporunDibi report that AS Roma winger Under has recently been on the radar of a number of Europe’s top clubs, including Arsenal, Tottenham, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. However, they claim he’s now set to join La Liga side Sevilla instead.

SportWitness highlight that this could well be due to Monchi’s influence, as he was the one who brought Under to Rome in the first place. Arsenal had reportedly made a €32m bid for the 21-year-old, but the Italian club rejected it.

If the reports are true, it could also have something to do with the game time Under expects to receive with Sevilla, compared to a club like Bayern or Madrid where it might be more difficult to earn starts.

It does feel like the move would be a bit of a sideways step though. Moving from 5th and a Europa League place in Serie A to 6th and a Europa League qualifiers spot in La Liga isn’t really going to transform his career. It would probably be better sticking with the club where he’s already a first-team regular. We’ll see what happens.
