Former Arsenal man, and fan favourite, Olivier Giroud is not happy being back up at Chelsea and could be available on a free transfer this summer.

The Frenchman’s current deal expires at the end of this season and Chelsea have not yet taken up the option of extending it by another year.

That will probably be something they are forced to do given their looming transfer ban for the next two windows, so whether Olivier is happy or not in West London, it looks like he could be forced to stay regardless.

“I’m 32 but I’m still young,” Giroud said. “I feel very well physically. When I do the tests on the treadmill I have one of the best (at the club). I’m still hungry and I have a few nice years in front of me.”

Although Olivier Giroud moved to Chelsea just over a year ago, Arsenal fans, myself included, often act as if he’s just on loan.

He’s not, however, he’s a Chelsea player.

For now, at least.
