According to the Indian newspaper The Hitavada on Tuesday, both Premier League clubs sent the youth sides to the Reliance Corporate Park in Ghansoli, Navi Mumbai to play friendlies against the academy teams of ISL club Mumbai City FC and Reliance Foundation Young Champs.

The event was part of the inaugural Premier League Football Development Week in Mumbai this week.

It’s always a good experience travelling somewhere new and learning about a different culture as well as playing against teams you wouldn’t normally get to face. Hopefully, the Arsenal youngsters enjoyed the trip.

On the other side of things, academy teams in Mumbai are unlikely to get the chance to test themselves against one of the top academies in Europe, so this was a great opportunity for them too.

In other recent youth tournament news, Arsenal’s u19s have once again been confirmed as participants in the 2019 edition of the Dallas Cup. Click here for more information about that tournament and the other teams taking part.
