After plenty of rumours that Arsenal would take part in the competition for the second year in a row, the club confirmed it on Wednesday with a quick video on their social media pages:

However, Arsenal are yet to announce which teams they’ll play against, or where the matches will be played. The official announcement will come on March 27th at 10am Eastern Time (ET), and the fact the time zone is given in ET is already a hint that the USA will be heavily involved.

That fits with the rumours we’ve already heard about the summer fixtures. Reportedly, Arsenal will travel to Los Angeles, Washington D.C., North Carolina and Colorado, and play Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, AC Milan and Kroenke-owned Colorado Rapids, though this is all still subject to change.

The tour should be between 13th and 26th July, which is slightly earlier than this year’s schedule. We’ll have to wait and see if that all turns out to be the case next Wednesday.
