Arsenal goalkeeper Deyan Iliev had to buy Alexandre Lacazette breakfast on Thursday morning, after losing a bet to the striker.
Lacazette’s been winning on and off the pitch this week. After scoring in Arsenal’s 5-1 victory over Bournemouth, the Frenchman posted on Instagram this morning to show Iliev presenting him with breakfast:

The exact details of the bet between the two are anyone’s guess. Perhaps Iliev predicted Lacazette wouldn’t score a free-kick this season, or the striker won some challenge in training. Either way, it looks like Bernd Leno is the 27-year-old’s next victim.
Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang certainly seem to help to create a positive atmosphere in the dressing room as well as on the pitch with their goals. They’re always joking around and pulling pranks, whilst promoting friendly competition between the players as well.
It’s also good to see Iliev back around the first-team squad, as he recovers from an injury he picked up with the u23s earlier this month. The club were really starting to run low on goalkeepers, so hopefully, he’ll be available again soon as a first-team backup and the first choice for the u23s.
