Monchi’s time with AS Roma may already be coming to an end, according to reports in Italy, with Sevilla and Arsenal touted as his possible next destinations.

TuttoMercatoWeb claim Monchi’s ‘adventure to Rome may have already ended’. They say his time in Italy is hanging by a thread as his current club struggle to make anything of their season, and it could soon be time to move on.

AS Roma are already looking at replacements, with Massimo Mirabelli, Daniele Faggiano and Walter Sabatini in line for the job.

As for Monchi’s future, TMW write that there are two possibilities. One is a return to Sevilla, perhaps as the club’s president, the other is a move to Arsenal. PSG appeared to be a third option at one stage, but ‘the storm has passed’ now, and Antero Henrique is looking more likely to stay.

David Ornstein told Arseblog recently that he’d heard unconfirmed reports that Monchi could be set to reunite with Unai Emery in North London. The two worked together previously with Sevilla, and they had a great deal of success, winning the Europa League in three consecutive seasons. We’ll have to wait and see what happens.
