Arsenal are prepared to sell Shkodran Mustafi in the summer to free up funds for transfers.

The German arrived at Arsenal in 2016 for a massive £36.9m fee which astounded Gary Neville who said when he was at Valencia they couldn’t give him away.

Mustafi has done many things since he arrived at Arsenal but coming close to living up to that monster price tag is not one of them and he has turned into something of a joke as demonstrated by this Twitter thread:

There is no way Arsenal will get anything close to £35m for him if they do decide to sell, but his wages of £90kpw could be better used elsewhere.

Calciomercato reported that Juve are considering a move for Mustafi as a replacement for Medhi Benatia whom they thought they might lose in the January window or during the summer. A player, funnily enough, who has been linked with a move to Arsenal.

The Italian site wrote that the German ‘would be of great interest for the Juve management’.

Hopefully, that is true or, at the very least, he’s of interest to someone, somewhere.
