West Ham have been given a huge boost ahead of this weekend’s game against Arsenal with the news that forward Marko Arnautovic has passed himself fit.
The 29-year-old Austrian has declared himself fit ahead of the match as he prepares to face a team he likes to get stuck in to.
The former Stoke striker embedded himself in the mind’s of Arsenal fans when he shoved Mathieu Debuchy into the advertising hoardings, dislocating his shoulder and ruining his Arsenal career before it even got started.
The next time the sides met, Gabriel smashed Arnautovic, to the delight of Arsenal fans and the disgust of the player who seems able to dish it out but not take it:
Arnautovic was taken off just 20 minutes into West Ham’s game against Birmingham in the FA Cup with a back problem.
The forward, who joined the Hammers from Stoke in 2017 has scored eight goals and assisted two this season in 17 games.
He has faced Arsenal 11 times in his career, more than any other side, but has won just one of those games, drawing two and losing nine.
Against Arsenal, Arnautovic has scored two and assisted two which receiving, unbelievably, only one yellow card.
