Unai Emery has been fined £8,000 for kicking a water bottle.
The Arsenal head coach admitted a charge of improper conduct relating to the incident on New Year’s Eve when he kicked a water bottle out of frustration that, unfortunately, struck a Brighton fan.
Emery apologised immediately but it was not enough to avoid a charge but he has, thankfully, escaped a touchline ban in a move I hope was designed just to annoy Jose Mourinho.
The Spaniard had been hoping his apology would be enough to see him escape any punishment but you know the FA, why deal with the important issues when you can deal with stuff like this instead.
