Juventus have secured Aaron Ramsey’s signature to join the club in the summer, but they’re still keen to have him in January, according to reports.

Sky Sports News reported on Thursday that Ramsey had signed a pre-contract agreement to join the Serie A champions this summer. They added that the move wouldn’t be made official until February, but didn’t explain why.

A report from La Gazzetta dello Sport might provide the answer. The Italian outlet claim (via Goal) that Juventus are still trying to sign the midfielder this month. They’re looking for immediate reinforcements, and would be willing to pay ‘a fair amount’ to complete a deal.

Arsenal are considering the sale, but only once they’ve secured the loan transfer of Denis Suarez.

Although Suarez isn’t a direct replacement for Ramsey, they can both provide cover in the middle and out wide. Losing the Welshman and missing out on the Spaniard in the same window would leave Arsenal’s squad pretty thin.

For now, the agreement is still that Ramsey won’t move on until the summer. Hopefully, he can focus on his football until that changes. At least by the end of the month he’ll know for sure where he’s playing for the foreseeable future.
