Denis Suarez has said goodbye to his Barcelona teammates as he gets set for life as an Arsenal player.

The wideman will complete his loan move to Arsenal today before the window shuts and should go straight into the squad for the game on Sunday against Manchester City.
Taking to Twitter, Suarez, 25, said:
Arsenal will pay a ‘minimum’ of €1m to Barcelona for Denis Suarez – the same amount RB Leipzig are paying to take Emile Smith Rowe on loan.

Arsenal managed to close the deal to bring Suarez on loan without an obligatory purchase option in what might be the first example in two decades of Arsenal getting who they want, how they want, for a price they want.
Suarez arrived for his medical yesterday and the official announcement is expected at some point on Thursday after Barcelona went early on Wednesday before deleting their update.

Suarez signed a new contract with Barcelona to protect his resale value and according to Mundo Deportivo he will cost Arsenal £18m should they wish to make his transfer permanent.
Arsenal are now no longer believed to be still trying to land Yannick Carrasco from Dalian Yifang, a move complicated by both the language barrier and Ivan Gazidis sticking his pointy nose in on behalf of AC Milan.
The move for Ivan Perisic is also said to be dead while the club are trying to resurrect a deal for PSG’s Christopher Nkunku.
