Denis Suarez was clearly following Arsenal’s victory over Chelsea on Saturday pretty closely, as his Instagram likes revealed after the game.

Suarez has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal this month, and the rumours are only carrying more weight after a couple of incidents this weekend. Firstly, the player was left out of the Barcelona squad to face Leganes on Sunday.

Then, after Arsenal overcame Chelsea in a comfortable 2-0 victory, Suarez took to Instagram to like a number of posts about the match.

One was a picture of Alexandre Lacazette burning a newspaper headline saying “same old Arsenal”, another was a cartoon of Arsenal players firing a football cannon into Sarri, and a third was a post by the Premier League about the Gunners having a top-four finish in sight. Suarez hardly had a chance to play for Barcelona in the first few months of the season, but he’s appeared in six of their last nine games in all competitions, albeit mostly from the bench. With two goals and a penalty won in those 157 minutes, the winger is proving his worth, but he still can’t get the game time he deserves.

Hopefully, he’ll soon complete a move to Arsenal and get the chance to achieve his potential.
