Dalian Yifang have made a €40m offer for Alassane Plea of Borussia Monchengladbach, which could kickstart a chain reaction ending with Ivan Perisic joining Arsenal, according to reports.

L’Equipe report (via CalcioMercato) that Dalian Yifang are looking at Plea as a replacement for Yannick Carrasco. Meanwhile, Carrasco is ‘in the crosshairs’ of Inter Milan, who in turn are negotiating the exit of Ivan Perisic to Arsenal.

As a result, we could end up seeing a series of deals going through before the end of the window. Inter are unlikely to want to let go of Perisic without a replacement, and the fact that Dalian Yifang are preparing for Carrasco’s exit suggests the Serie A club might have already found one.

There’s not much time to get all three deals done though. Perisic to Arsenal and Carrasco to Inter need to be finalised by Thursday in order to beat the transfer deadline. Plea to Dalian Yifang could be completed later, as the Chinese window doesn’t close until the end of February.

Reports suggest that Inter want negotiations for Perisic to be concluded today, and perhaps this is the reason why. It would give them a couple of days to complete a deal for Carrasco, rather than having to sort the transfer at the last minute. We’ll see what happens in the coming days.
