Barcelona’s president, Josep Maria Bartomeu has reportedly told Denis Suarez that he will ‘find a way to make a transfer happen’ even though Arsenal are reportedly ‘pleading poverty’.

Denis Suarez to Arsenal seems like it is a rumour with a lot of substance but the main sticking point seems to be Arsenal are broke. That’s what the latest report from Spain says with the club not even able to pay a reduced fee of €10-€15m for the player in January.

As a result, a loan with a compulsory buy option seems the most likely route as Arsenal await cash coming in from new sponsorship deals in the summer.

According to Marca, Barca’s president is in negotiations with Arsenal and he “has assured Suarez that he’ll find a way to make a transfer happen in the winter window.”

Suarez has reportedly asked to be allowed to leave Barca for Arsenal and wants to play under Unai Emery.

Emery, for his part, wants to keep Ramsey to play alongside Suarez, at least until the summer, which is handy for Ramsey’s agent who is allegedly set to pocket €9m from Juventus if he can get the Welshman to Italy on a free.
