UEFA have opened a case against Arsenal after the kick-off of Thursday’s match against Qarabag in the Europa League was delayed by three minutes.

They have also been charged in relation to the fan who ran on the pitch waving an Armenia flag.

The statement in full on the UEFA website read:

Disciplinary proceedings have been opened following the UEFA Europa League group stage match between Arsenal FC and Qarabağ FK (1-0), played on 13 December in England.

Charges against Arsenal FC
– Field invasion by supporters – Art. 16 (2) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations (DR)
– Late Kick-off – Art. 11 (2) DR

The case will be dealt with by the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body on 21 February 2019.

The draw for the next round of the Europa League, meanwhile, takes place on Monday at midday.
