Hector Bellerin, Lucas Torreira and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang all appeared in Jamie Redknapp’s Team of the Week after their respective performances against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

A former Tottenham player himself, Redknapp can’t have enjoyed Arsenal’s performance against his old club much. The Gunners were dominant for most of the match, bar a few first-half minutes where a couple of dodgy decisions led to two Spurs goals.

As a result, Redknapp had to concede that three Arsenal players deserved to make his Team of the Week:

Lucas Torreira was an easy pick after he won the man-of-the-match award for the North London derby clash. The midfielder was as busy as usual defensively, but he also found his feet in front of goal. The 22-year-old whistled a couple of shots past the post before eventually scoring his first Arsenal goal in style, to finish the match off.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was also an obvious choice, with two goals and an assist against Arsenal’s local rivals. Just as Torreira surprised fans with his attacking input, Aubameyang did the same defensively, making more tackles than anyone else on the pitch throughout the 90 minutes.

Hector Bellerin’s performance went a bit more under the radar, but he did catch the eye with one of the passes of the match to Aaron Ramsey in the build-up to Arsenal’s equaliser at 2-2. The defender was also solid defensively, and his desire to get involved in a few scraps to defend his teammates will have impressed Arsenal fans.

Let’s hope for more of the same next week.
