Arsenal might have thought they’d get to face a Shane Long-less Southampton given the terror the little idiot tends to wreak against us, but he’s back in the squad along with Danny Ings.

Southampton welcome Arsenal to St Mary’s on Sunday for what will be new man Ralph Hasenhuttl’s first home game in charge. Cue the new manager bounce for a side in 19th place, only goal difference keeping them from rock bottom.

Everything about this game makes my Arsenal DNA scream ‘banana skin’ but that’s Arsene Wenger-era thinking, not Unai Emery.

Anyway, the point is Southampton, buoyed by being told they no longer have to listen to Mark Hughes, will welcome both Danny Ings and Shane Long back in the side.

I don’t know about you but Long feels like one of those annoying players who always scores against us. He’s actually only found the back of the net against us four times (with two assists) in 12 attempts, the same number as he’s scored against Manchester City in one fewer match.

Feels like a lot more…
