Mauricio Pochettino has warned Spurs fans to behave when they return to the Emirates this week for the first time since one of their fans threw a banana skin at Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Tottenham have been issued with 5,000 tickets for the Carabao Cup quarter final that is sure to see both sides make a host of changes from the teams that battled it out recently in the league.

Speaking at the weekend, Pochettino wanted to make sure their fans know what is expected of them.

“I am completely against this behaviour,” Pochettino reiterated. “It’s the worst thing in the world. I don’t care if it is our fans or other fans, I want to kill it. Our responsibility is to behave.”

The supporter who threw the banana skin has been identified and banned for life by the club, despite his protestations of innocence that large sections of the right-wing press were happy to publicise.
