Mesut Ozil has taken to Twitter to confirm that he is ‘working hard’ to make his return from the back injury that has sidelined him from the last few games.

Although rumours of a problem involving Mesut Ozil continue to circulate they are, at this point, nothing more than that – rumours.

The club says he’s hurt and, at this point, you have to consider the possibility that he is actually suffering from a problem. It makes no sense to leave a £300kpw player out of the squad, especially not with the number of injuries Arsenal have at present.

As I’ve mentioned before on here, I don’t buy reports that Ozil stormed out of training after being told he wouldn’t play against Spurs. You don’t achieve what Ozil has in the game by acting like a spoiled toddler.

Anyway, the German has been working his way back to fitness and tweeted:

From that photo, Ozil hardly strikes me as an unhappy player or one who is looking to leave.

How about you?
