Liverpool are reportedly on the verge of bringing Borussia Dortmund’s Christian Pulisic to the club in January after they bid £45m for a player Arsenal wanted to pay £35m for.

Liverpool are said to be willing to pay £45m to land the 20-year-old as Jurgen Klopp throws more cash at the Premier League title in the hopes that it will stick.

Arsenal, reportedly, bid £35m for the player but that was rejected by the Germans who want closer to the money on offer from Liverpool.

That being said, although the report in the S*n makes it seem like Pulisic will be wearing Liverpool red as soon as the new year arrives, deeper into their report it is claimed that a bid of £50m will be needed to get any sort of agreement with the Bundesliga leaders.

Pulisic has three goals and four assists from 18 appearances this season. He is currently under contract until 2020 but has dropped behind Jordan Sancho at the club.

Other reports claim that Chelsea have reached an agreement to sign him in the summer.
