Despite his young age, Wolf is already an established player in the Salzburg team. He has 16 goals and 18 assists in 70 senior appearances overall, including four goals and nine assists in 21 games this season.

Wolf also received senior call-ups for Austria last year, but he’s yet to make his debut. If he remains in such impressive form, it can only be a matter of time.

The youngster first announced himself to the world by winning the UEFA Youth League with Salzburg u19s in 2016/17.

Wolf either scored or assisted in every single game he played in the competition, including matches against Manchester City, PSG, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona. He assisted both goals in the final in a 2-1 win, leaving him with 7 goals and five assists in seven games.

Of course, there’s a big difference between impressing at youth level and for the senior side, but Wolf’s transition so far seems to prove that’s not a problem for him. We’ll see if he does indeed end up following the same path as Christian Eriksen to the Premier League.
