Aaron Ramsey took to Instagram to poke fun of Eric Dier after Arsenal’s comeback win on Sunday afternoon.

After taking an early lead against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, Arsenal were pegged back by an Eric Dier header. After the goal, he ran over to the Gunners fans with a finger to his lips to celebrate in front of them, sparking a fight with the Arsenal substitutes.

At the end of the confrontation, you can see Dier very clearly telling Ramsey to sit back down on the bench:

Ramsey ended up coming on in the second half and providing two assists as Arsenal turned the game around to win. The Welshman couldn’t help a dig at Dier afterwards, posting a picture of himself on Instagram captioned “sit down he said”.

Ramsey’s agent also got in on the act, quipping that he could see why Dier would want his client to remain on the bench.

The Arsenal midfielder certainly had the last laugh on this occasion, probably inspired by Dier’s overdramatic response to the first-half equaliser. Ramsey won over a lot of Arsenal fans as well, many of whom had been on the fence about the 27-year-old ever since news of his contract talk breakdown emerged.

As long as he keeps playing like this until the end of the season, I don’t think any supporters can complain at Ramsey about what happens next.
