Arsenal fans got to enjoy a classic comeback victory against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, but they weren’t the only ones, with a number of stars from the academy watching on.

A few days after appearing and scoring for the first team themselves, Emile Smith Rowe and Joe Willock were at home recovering and watching the North London derby on TV. Both of them seemed very excited to see the Arsenal goals going in, sharing their reactions on their Instagram stories:

Meanwhile, Tyreece John-Jules, who made the Arsenal senior squad for the first time on Thursday, got up close to the action. He sat right behind the Gunners bench and shared a post after Lacazette scored what turned out to be the winning goal.

Young summer academy signing Sam Greenwood was also in attendance for the match, sitting in the crowd with the rest of the fans. Having played for Sunderland until his recent transfer, Greenwood doesn’t have as much of a connection to Arsenal as the others, so it’s great to see him getting caught up in the atmosphere of the derby.

The four players could all have very bright footballing futures, so let’s hope they take inspiration from the victory to push on individually this season.
