Arsenal won three Super League games against Birmingham Everton and Brighton and the Dutch duo starred heavily in all three victories that saw van de Donk score in all three games.

Van de Donk also saw this tremendous double-nutmeg go viral around the world.

Speaking recently, Arsenal manager Joe Montemurro said about van de Donk, “We’re getting her in positions where she can affect the game.

“She’s very good in build-up play, but she’s also very good in the second phase when we do go forward and she’s very good at getting herself in goalscoring positions.

“She’s a smart player and coupled with all of that, she’s also had the euphoria of qualifying for the World Cup, so it’s been a massive week for her.”

Voting for the award closes on December 10th.

Beth Mead, meanwhile, was voted as the Football Supporters Federation’s Player of the Year.
