Unai Emery has finally launched his new-look website a few months after his original site was taken down.

Unai Emery is on Twitter. He also has his own website. If you picked two ways for him to be different to Arsene Wenger, then these would be a good place to start.

It was curious, then, why Emery’s website was offline for the last few months. There was no placeholder or page telling us something new was coming. But that’s exactly what was happening.

On Emery’s website you can read his philosophy and story of his journey in football. You can also catch up with the latest news and videos while there is a handy countdown clock to Arsenal’s next game.

Emery lists ‘three key pillars’ as core to his playing philosophy – a winning mentality, hardwork and dedication and making sure the team comes first.

About each of these he says:

Winning mentality

“Always go for the win, even if you don’t manage to get it in the end. That mentality is important in football and all other walks of life.

“You must show desire to overcome obstacles and keep fighting to achieve your goal, that’s The Arsenal Way.”

Hard work and dedication

“Effort and dedication are always more important than just talent alone. It is with attitude that you can achieve aptitude.

“We must work harder today than we did yesterday if we want to move forward.”

The team comes first

“As Alfredo di Stéfano once said, no player is as good as all the players together. “We” should be bigger than “Me”, We Are The Arsenal.

“That’s how I understand the Arsenal motto “Victoria Concordia Crescit”.”
