Nacho Monreal and Dinos Mavropanos both seem to have suffered something of an injury setback as their returns from injury are delayed.

Dinos Mavropanos has not played a single minute this season so far as he recovers from a troublesome groin problem. He was expected back in training this month but Arsenal have updated his return to full training to December.

Nacho Monreal, meanwhile, was listed as a ‘doubt’ for Arsenal’s last two games but he has now been ruled out for the next two weeks with a right hamstring problem.

Stephan Lichsteiner is listed as a doubt and will undergo a fitness test ahead of Arsenal’s game against Bournemouth on Sunday but it’s worth noting that the way he is listed on Arsenal.com is exactly the same as the way they have listed Nacho Monreal since he picked up his hamstring problem in the same leg against Qarabag.

Laurent Koscielny is continuing his return to fitness. “He started to train with us, every day, one month ago,” Unai Emery said. “The process with him in this international break is to finish training with us every day to start playing, little by little.

“First, our idea is to start with the under-23s, but also, these two weeks training with us, I am looking at him. He is well, with good performances, good feeling and I think he, today, is close to also playing with us.

“But the first idea is, and maybe on Monday, he can play with the under-23s. We are going to decide tomorrow the plan with him, but we are thinking for him to start to take minutes.”
