The Dutch star scored in every one of Arsenal’s three games during the month of November, becoming only the second player to score in five consecutive games under Joe Montemurro. The other was Kim Little who is currently recovering from a broken leg.

Van de Donk also saw this tremendous double-nutmeg go viral around the world.

Speaking recently, Arsenal manager Joe Montemurro said about van de Donk, “We’re getting her in positions where she can affect the game.

“She’s very good in build-up play, but she’s also very good in the second phase when we do go forward and she’s very good at getting herself in goalscoring positions.

“She’s a smart player and coupled with all of that, she’s also had the euphoria of qualifying for the World Cup, so it’s been a massive week for her.”

The winner will be announced on 5 December. Arsenal won October’s award when Vivianne Miedema picked up the gong
