Folarin Balogun can’t stop scoring at the moment, and he added another in the Arsenal u18s’ 4-0 win over Fulham on Saturday.

Defender Bayli Spencer-Adams stole the show a bit with a brace as the Gunners got their first Premier League Cup victory of the season, after a 0-0 draw with West Bromwich Albion last time out. Everton are currently top of the group, with 6 points, and Arsenal host them in December.

Josh Martin was also on the scoresheet, and Ben Cottrell provided an assist, but it’s Folarin Balogun in red-hot form for the side right now.

Balogun scored a hat-trick last time out for the u18s, and this latest goal puts him on nine goals in eight appearances for the season. Even that is a bit deceptive, as he only played the final couple of minutes of Arsenal’s u21 victory over Forest Green Rovers in midweek.

Balogun has competition in the u18s after Sam Greenwood’s arrival in the summer, but that only seems to have pushed him on to play even better. In fact, like Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the first team, the two are finding ways to play together, with Greenwood moving wide and getting involved in the goals as well.

The future of Arsenal’s attack continues to look bright. Let’s hope they keep it up.
