Barcelona chief executive Oscar Grau reportedly believes that Malcom will be sold, as it appears the Brazilian has failed to win over manager Ernesto Valverde.

Spanish outlet Sport report that the higher-ups at Barcelona were responsible for the signing of Malcom, rather than Valverde himself. They hoped he would’ve received more playing time by now, and Grau is now under the impression that the ‘player will be sold’.

This is further to their report last week claiming the manager’s tactical changes don’t suit Malcom, and that Arsenal have already made their interest in signing him known to the Catalan club.

The Gunners aren’t the only ones in for the winger. Inter Milan and Tottenham Hotspur have also been heavily linked with a move in recent weeks.

Back in January, when Malcom was still playing for Bordeaux, the media heavily linked both North London clubs to the Brazilian, so it’s really not a surprise to see that interest return to the headlines in the current circumstances.

Sport previously claimed that Malcom’s priority is to stay at Barcelona, but that seems to be changing with every game that goes by. Another two matches this week didn’t result in a single minute of playing time for the 21-year-old. He’s still only up to 25 minutes for the season.

If the situation still hasn’t changed in January, and Arsenal remain in need of a winger, the Gunners could make a move for the Barcelona man. We’ll see.
