Aaron Ramsey was snapped alongside Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain at the Ryder Cup over the weekend, amid rumours of a possible move to Liverpool.

After starting in Arsenal’s victory over Watford on Saturday, Ramsey headed off to watch the Ryder Cup for the remainder of the weekend. He met up with former Gunner Oxlade-Chamberlain at the event and posted a picture to his Instagram page.

The timing of this photo isn’t great, given Ramsey’s current transfer situation. Rumours are all over the media that talks over a contract extension with Arsenal have broken down. As it stands, his deal is set to expire in 2019, at which point he can leave for free.

Reports suggest that Liverpool were interested in him over the summer and now plan to reignite that interest in January.

As a result, the comments on Ramsey’s picture are completely filled with Liverpool fans spamming ‘come to Liverpool’ and telling him to leave his current ‘mediocre club’.

Having played alongside each other for many years, it really shouldn’t be surprising to see the pair attending events together. We can’t expect all footballers at Arsenal to be best friends until the second that one of them leaves. Still, posting pictures like this is only going to fuel the fire.
