Liverpool have reportedly contacted Arsenal to tell them they are not interested in signing Aaron Ramsey.

I don’t know about you, but I’m not really sure clubs go around phoning other clubs to tell them they won’t be signing their players, that seems like it would take up a lot of someone’s time.

Anyway, that’s where we are with some information that was just casually dropped into an article about Mo Salah.

No reason is given as to why Liverpool wouldn’t be interested and many saw Jurgen Klopp’s side as the perfect vehicle to get the best out of the Welshman on a consistent basis.

At this point, it’s not clear what will happen with Ramsey. While some outlets report there is the possibility that he could play himself into a new deal with Arsenal after they withdrew their offer, others claim Unai Emery wants to ship him out to make way for his own players That’s an issue that doesn’t really go away, no matter how well Ramsey plays.

Ramsey, for his part, seemed a little taken back by Arsenal withdrawing their offer. If he was, then he should have a word with his agent who has made a bit of a mess of this whole thing as we explained recently.

The only thing we can be sure of is we will see him linked with a host of clubs between now and him actually leaving while also having to listen to stories about how he could stay at Arsenal.

Fun times.
